One of the most distinctive features of The Essence is the artistic subversion of a large, low beam crossing the apartment. By covering both sides of the beam with large zebra wood and titanium-plated metal, the design turns this structural element into the soul of the space, enhancing its visual appeal and functionality.

The design realization technology employed in The Essence is a testament to KAO SHIH CHIEH's innovative approach. By strategically rearranging the space and introducing curved elements to connect and extend the beam and ceilings, the design effectively mitigates the impact of the beam, creating a visually expansive and inviting environment.

Furthermore, the design specifications reflect a commitment to preserving the natural brightness and temperature of the space, utilizing lotos plaster and wooden textures to create a visually striking yet sensibly textured environment. The master bedroom, divided into a working area and sleeping area, showcases thoughtful design elements such as grilles that optimize natural light and shadow play, enhancing the overall ambiance of the space.
