Min Huei Lu's campaign aims to promote a meaningful human-machine relationship in graphic design
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Min Huei Lu's campaign, "Minarva," seeks to address the potential threat of automation to graphic design jobs by promoting a meaningful human-machine relationship. The campaign aims to educate designers about the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can be utilized to meet evolving workplace demands.
The "Minarva" campaign emphasizes that AI will not replace designers but rather become a valuable design partner and tool. Through workshops and talks, the campaign encourages designers to embrace AI technology to achieve greater creative outcomes in the industry.
Utilizing Adobe software, the campaign includes event marketing materials such as posters, tickets, and name cards, promoting the "Artificial Intelligence In Graphic Design Conference" in San Francisco. The conference features workshops and speaker sessions, aiming to educate designers on working with AI in the creative industry.
The MFA thesis project, developed in San Francisco from September 2017 to December 2019, was informed by research involving 36 designers and computer scientists. The project's aim was to improve designers' skills by engaging with technology in a meaningful way.
Min Huei Lu's "Minarva" campaign was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise and innovation in promoting the integration of AI in graphic design.
