Beijing Jiaotong University's "Xiaoshanxiang Pig" Brand Design

Beijing Jiaotong University introduces "Xiaoshanxiang Pig," a brand design project aimed at promoting local agricultural products and rural revitalization in Xiaoyuan Village, China. The project, initiated in November 2022 and completed in July 2023, is set to go into production in March 2024. The brand design not only enhances the value of pork products but also showcases the unique culture and picturesque scenery of Xiaoyuan Village, integrating agriculture and tourism to drive local economic development.

The "Xiaoshanxiang Pig" brand design features whimsical illustrations and light colors, creating a visually appealing packaging for the pork products. The design team conducted in-depth research on Xiaoyuan Village, incorporating cultural and creative elements such as village maps, coupons, and promotional posters into the packaging. The use of air-conditioned packaging technology ensures the freshness and quality of the pork products, while the emphasis on detail and texture through screen printing and silver stamping processes enhances the overall product presentation.

Targeting younger, environmentally conscious consumers, the "Xiaoshanxiang Pig" products will be available at the farmer's market in Xiaoyuan Village and online stores, offering all-natural, pollution-free pork grown in the mountains. The brand design project serves as a response to the Chinese government's initiative to revitalize the rural economy and has gained widespread support from the local community.
