Irrational Slice: Redefining Information Visualization

Lu Zhao's "Irrational Slice" is a groundbreaking 3D information visualization project that seeks to explore the subjective, irrational, and emotional moments that influence human decision-making. Inspired by the complexities of human cognition, this project utilizes AR technology to deliver multi-dimensional information, providing a new perspective on information observation and interactive transmission in the context of digital media art.

Utilizing multimedia and AR technology, "Irrational Slice" presents a three-dimensional space for information, enhancing interaction and allowing the audience to engage with the data from multiple angles. The project, which began in March 2020 in China and concluded in June 2020, was exhibited in "The start of a long journey outstanding works by graduates of 2020 from key arts academics in China” of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts.

The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its innovative approach to information visualization and its contribution to improving the quality of life through creative and technically proficient design.
