Breaking Down Barriers: A Bold Vision for Urban Renewal

Shu Yuan Chang's office design project, located in Taipei, was inspired by the need to transform an old, neglected urban space into a vibrant, welcoming environment. The design team's vision involved removing the physical barriers that separated the space, allowing for a seamless integration with the surrounding community. By incorporating elements such as finished concrete landscaping, a plantation wall, and open front yard, the design promotes a sense of openness and synergy.

One of the unique features of this design is the deliberate focus on ventilation and temperature control, aimed at combating the damp and humid climate of Taipei City. By lowering the perimeter barrier and incorporating greenery, the design effectively eradicates insect infestation while creating a more comfortable and sustainable workspace.
