Chia-Lun Chan's Vision Comes to Life in Taichung City
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chia-Lun Chan's Shanmu Store is a testament to the fusion of tradition and modernity, bringing the forests and flowers of Taiwan into a retail space that embodies the unparalleled elegance unique to Taiwan. The store, which serves as the founding location for a Taiwanese wedding cookies brand, seamlessly integrates traditional Taiwanese building materials with trendy packaging, creating a fresh and nostalgic atmosphere.
The 58 square meter indoor space and 39 square meter outdoor area feature a variety of unique design elements, including mosaic pavements, vintage brick grilles, and solid wood presentation areas inspired by the oceanic nature of Taiwan. The use of traditional Taiwanese materials such as rattan weaving and nostalgic brick grilles adds a touch of nostalgia while maintaining a modern aesthetic.
The project, which commenced in February 2020 and concluded in July 2020, is a visual representation of the brand's values, accentuating the key properties of traditional building materials commonly seen in Taiwan. The design team overcame spatial constraints and technical challenges to create a space that seamlessly connects the old and the new, offering a rich visual experience for visitors.
Chia-Lun Chan's Shanmu Store was recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, celebrating its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
