Bead: Children's Medicine Packaging Design

Mengzhen Xu's Bead design introduces a groundbreaking approach to children's medicine packaging by incorporating fruit-flavored burst beads into the traditional Chinese medicine bottle. Inspired by the Chinese custom of consuming candy after taking bitter medicine, the burst beads offer orange, mango, and green apple flavors, transforming the experience of taking medicine for young patients.

This innovative design features a bottle containing traditional Chinese medicine with an attached burst bead filled with sweet liquid. After consuming the medicine, children can squeeze the burst bead to release the sweet liquid, providing a hint of sweetness to counter the bitterness of the medicine. Additionally, the beads can be squeezed while drinking the medicine to enhance its taste, making the entire process more enjoyable for children.

Constructed using the hot-pressing process, the product's body ensures a simple and efficient production process, leading to cost savings in production and transportation. Furthermore, the use of biodegradable plastics for the entire container emphasizes the design's environmental friendliness and user convenience.
