SV Villa: A Modern Blend of City Living and Countryside Tranquility

The SV Villa, designed by Jofre Roca Calaf, is a contemporary residential house that harmoniously combines the conveniences of city living with the serenity of the countryside. Traditional construction materials such as tile roof, stone, ceramics, brick, and solid wood beams were used, along with passive energy solutions and natural resources, to create a unique living space.

The garden and its elements play a crucial role in connecting the interior with the environment. A corbel regulates sunlight and skylight while allowing natural ventilation. The project focuses on using local materials and traditional production methods while maintaining a high level of aesthetics.

With an area of 882 sqm, the SV Villa consists of three levels, featuring common areas, services, guest bedrooms, a multipurpose room, bathrooms, and a garage. The upper floor houses children's bedrooms, a library, and a suite, all designed to offer a seamless blend of functionality and comfort.

The project, which started in mid-2018 and concluded in early 2019, showcases a deep respect for the surrounding nature and the local production methods. The design team, including Laura Molina and Jordi Gendrau, worked diligently to integrate the unique features of the SV Villa with the picturesque views of Barcelona, Montjuic Mountain, and the Mediterranean Sea.

The SV Villa was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in architecture and design.
