Ayaz: A Villa Design Blending Tradition and Modernity

Yaser and Yasin Rashid Shomali's Ayaz villa seamlessly combines local tradition with a modern twist, featuring sloping roofs inspired by traditional architecture and cutting-edge technology. The design offers a serene retreat in perfect harmony with its surroundings, utilizing robust steel structure, standing seam roof, and extensive use of wood for a cozy ambiance. Expansive glass windows provide breathtaking views and seamless indoor-outdoor connection, resulting in a captivating and harmonious design.

The three-level structure occupies 400 square meters on a 300 square meter land plot, comprising four master bedrooms, a spacious terrace, and a two-zone seating area across two levels, optimizing space utilization. The design process employed CAD, 3D modeling, and research for sustainability and energy efficiency.

Operating the villa is effortless and user-friendly, with a smooth flow between spaces, spacious bedrooms, and optimized natural light. The project faced creative challenges in balancing local traditions, modern comforts, and natural surroundings, requiring extensive research and continuous design refinement.
