Discover the innovative Gradient Ramp tape design by Bruce Tao, a solution to the common struggle of finding the tape cut. This unique sellotape features a gradient color scheme, making it easier for users to locate the cut and enhancing convenience in everyday use.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bruce Tao's inspiration for the Gradient Ramp tape design stemmed from the ubiquitous use of stationery tape and the challenge of locating the cut due to its thin nature. By integrating the principle of gradient colors, the tape's unique feature allows for easy identification of the cut, addressing a common usability issue.
Constructed from a PVC film-based material with exceptional low-temperature resistance and initial viscosity, the Gradient Ramp tape is designed for effortless punching and cutting molding, ensuring practicality and durability.
Measuring at 10cm in length, 10cm in width, and 1.5cm in height, this innovative tape design offers a convenient and user-friendly solution for everyday tasks, enhancing efficiency and usability.
The project commenced in September 2020 in Milan and concluded in February 2021, with an exhibition in China. The design team, led by Jing Peng and including Xinzhou Zhang, overcame the challenge of creating a complex internal structure, ensuring the tape's functionality and effectiveness.
With the production of tape continuously expanding, the introduction of the Gradient Ramp tape addresses a significant market need, offering a promising solution to enhance user experience and convenience.
Bruce Tao, a renowned designer committed to promoting industrial design in China, has received over 100 design awards domestically and internationally. His dedication to innovation and practical design solutions has led to the creation of the Gradient Ramp tape, recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021.
