Eataly Ginza, a vibrant 1000 square meter restaurant, bar, market, and cafe, opened on the 6th floor of Ginza Six, Tokyo's prestigious commercial district, on August 25, 2021. The design integrates the concept of "Eataly Garden" with Tsutaya Bookstore, creating a unique and inviting space for visitors.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eataly Ginza: A Fusion of Italian Charm and Japanese Elegance

Designed by Uds Ltd., Eataly Ginza is a bright, green space featuring a series of small stores representing the "Eataly Garden" concept. The layout, inspired by the cheerful town squares in Italy, offers a seamless blend of restaurants, bars, markets, and cafes, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the richness of Italian produce as they stroll through the park-like setting.

The design challenges were overcome through meticulous planning, integrating the qualities of Eataly with Japanese sensibilities. The space is divided into zones with minimal horizontal partitions, creating a unified, expansive feel. The ceiling, adorned with streetlight-like fixtures, enhances the sense of unity, while louvers on the backside create a tranquil, semi-outdoor ambiance.

Eataly Ginza is a testament to Uds Ltd.'s commitment to creating sustainable, vibrant urban spaces. The fusion of Italian charm and Japanese elegance has earned the project the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
