Aedas reveals the innovative Hengqin International Financial Center, a landmark building in Zhuhai, Guangdong, PRC, designed from 2013 to 2015 and completed in March 2020.

Hengqin International Financial Center: A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
Aedas introduces the Hengqin International Financial Center, a comprehensive mix-used landmark building in Hengqin CBD Island, featuring office, conference, exhibition, apartment, and retail spaces. The project's unique and powerful shape is inspired by the ancient Chinese painting âKowloon mapâ and realized with state-of-the-art digital techniques.
The 339.0-meter tower rises with a continuous and spiral shape, expressing speed, power, and vitality, embodying a convergence of energy in architectural form. The design is a fusion of traditional Chinese totem and contemporary architecture development, utilizing 3D modeling software, parametric design technology, and coding calculation to achieve its elegant form and rationalize the complex shape.
The project's construction, started in February 2016, was guided by in-depth research on the local history and urban development of Zhuhai, ensuring the final design captures the most suitable traditional image for the site. Aedas' commitment to deep social and cultural understanding is evident in this world-class design solution, recognized with the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2021.
