Fengqi Chaoming: A Modern Sales Office Inspired by Sichuan Tea Culture

Matrix Design is proud to unveil Fengqi Chaoming, a modern sales office located in Chengdu, China. This 250 square meter space is a fusion of ancient tea culture and contemporary design, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city life.

The inspiration for Fengqi Chaoming stems from the rich tea culture of Sichuan, which has been an integral part of local life for over two thousand years. The design incorporates a cabinet displaying tea sets from renowned artists, reflecting the living philosophy of ancient times.

What sets Fengqi Chaoming apart is its ability to provide a serene and isolated environment, offering a tranquil space for leisure, peace, and the reception of guests. The design seamlessly integrates traditional materials with modern industry, creating a harmonious spatial effect that evokes a sense of spiritual tranquility.

Using pixel technique, the design extends traditional aesthetics into the modern world, symbolizing the convergence of ancient beauty with contemporary reality. The project commenced in February 2019 and was completed in November 2019, showcasing a meticulous blend of traditional vocabulary and modern design techniques.

Fengqi Chaoming was recently honored with the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
