Shining in Wisdom and Glory: A Creative Metaphor for the Police Force

Designed by KUO, KUO-HSIANG, "Shining in Wisdom and Glory" is a breathtaking public art installation that creatively embodies the nature of the Police. Inspired by the shapes and colors of the Taiwan police badge, this artwork serves as a metaphor for the police force's mission and vision. The panoramic image, resembling a bird's eye view of the city, symbolizes the infinite expansion and vigorousness of the Police. The central cabochon mirror acts as a watchful eye, representing the keen observation skills and justice upheld by the Police.

The installation, made of acid-resistant stainless steel, ceramics, glass, and LED, stands out with its unique textures and reflective surfaces. The stainless steel cabochon, in particular, reflects the surrounding scenery, serving as a symbolic guardian of the city. Illuminated by LED lights, the artwork exudes a captivating charm day and night.

"Shining in Wisdom and Glory" measures 1150 CM x 320 CM x 150 CM and is a mosaic art of mixed media, showcasing the fusion of different materials to create a lasting and impactful piece. Installed in the Taichung City Government Police Department in Taiwan, this project commenced in April 2020 and was completed in December 2020.
