Old Town of Lijiang Illustration Series by Jijing Ju

Jijing Ju's illustration project, "Old Town of Lijiang," is a creative endeavor to protect and promote the traditional culture of Lijiang ancient village. Through a series of illustrations, Ju aims to visually present the unique cultural heritage of Lijiang, using modern media to convey the village's natural charm and historical significance. The project commenced in September 2022 and concluded in January 2023 in China.

The illustrations, measuring 800mm (H) x 800mm (W) at 150dpi in RGB, are created using vector design software and produced using high-level printing and manufacturing technologies to ensure the intricate details are faithfully represented.

Ju's work aims to spread awareness of the traditional culture of ancient Chinese villages in a manner that resonates with modern aesthetics, fostering a sense of appreciation and protection for this rich heritage. The project has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2023.
