Brand Packaging Design for Lamay Island's Souvenir Series

CHIA-HUI LIEN, the Creative Director of Yi Jia Visual Identity Design Co.,LTD, has unveiled the brand packaging design for Lamay Island's Souvenir Series. Inspired by the off-shore island of Taiwan, the design captures the essence of the fishers’ hometown, Lamay Island, and its renowned fresh yellowfin tunas.

The packaging design features a zipper bag to preserve the freshness of the dried fish, with a magnetic cover for gifting. After consumption, the pack can be repurposed as a storage box, promoting environmental sustainability and adding value through recycling.

The gift boxes, designed with a focus on visual and image design, incorporate local island style and cultural characteristics of Xiaoliuqiu. The packaging utilizes special color printing and partial bright film technology to enhance the texture of the gift box.

CHIA-HUI LIEN, along with Jen-Wei Huang, conducted extensive research and data collection during a field trip to Xiaoliuqiu Island in Taiwan. The design integrates marine culture and local cultural history, aiming to promote market sales and achieve high marketing benefits.

The Lamay Island's Souvenir Series will be available for purchase in Lamay Island, Taiwan, starting from December 1, 2019.

The design was awarded Bronze in A' Packaging Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach that authentically represents experience and resourcefulness.
