VISANG introduces Powerbox Wanja, a groundbreaking series of study books designed to enhance the learning skills of elementary school students. The series utilizes the Powerbox Learning Method, which breaks down concepts into digestible bits organized into boxes, making learning quicker and more engaging. Each book features cube-shaped characters and paper toys, creating a consistent brand identity and improving spatial cognition skills.
The Wanja series is a set of twenty study books, each measuring 230mm by 304mm by 15mm, with unique paper toy specifications. The cover designs use cube-shaped characters as graphic motifs, and the materials are coated with glossy finishes to maximize visual impact.
From Seoul, Korea, the project began in August 2019 and concluded in January 2020. The series will be available for sale in Korea starting March 2020, offering a bright and fun brand atmosphere to elementary school students.
Wanja's design team, led by Creative Director Young Hyun Kim, developed the Powerbox Learning Method based on research into digital natives' learning habits. The method aims to provide a consistent brand experience, with vivid colors and paper toy making activities enhancing the learning process.
The project overcame challenges in selecting graphic motifs that best represent the learning method and the interests of elementary school students. The cube was chosen for its versatility and appeal to young learners, resulting in a consistent and engaging brand design.
