Updesign introduces KK-Park, a groundbreaking signage system, in the China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park, promoting cultural exchange and leisure.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Updesign proudly presents KK-Park, a revolutionary signage system, strategically located in the China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park. This innovative project aims to promote cultural exchange and leisure activities, revitalizing the former playground into a Sino-Korean cultural exchange leisure block. The signage system serves as a vital link for Sino-Korean cultural exchanges, incorporating geographic information and a sense of place.
The KK-Park signage system boasts unique properties that set it apart from conventional designs. It integrates iconic ribbons from traditional Korean costumes, the traditional Korean color "Obangsaek," and strokes characteristic of Korean characters, effectively encapsulating the essence of South Korean culture while promoting the city brand.
The realization of the KK-Park signage system involved advanced technology and meticulous attention to detail. The use of prefabricated twisted steel plates, along with precise on-site installation, ensures a high-quality, visually unified appearance across diverse functions and categories.
Measuring 2200mm x 500mm x 665mm and constructed from 5mm thick stainless steel bending, the KK-Park signage system stands as a testament to innovative design and technical excellence.
Designed to address the complex pedestrian flow and enhance orientation within the leisure block, the KK-Park signage system features prominent wayfinding elements, guiding visitors with grace and efficiency.
The project, completed in October 2022 in the Tinghu District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China, was the result of extensive research and creative problem-solving. By integrating unique ribbons inspired by traditional Korean costumes and leveraging the site's belt-like circulation, the signage system achieves a harmonious blend of functionality and visual appeal.
Overcoming the challenges posed by the site's distinctive characteristics, the KK-Park signage system successfully balances brand promotion, cultural exchange, and spatial exploration, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a vibrant and engaging environment.
