Yi-Lun Hsu's Nature Apartment Redefines Space with Daylight, Greenery, and Wooden Elements

Nature Apartment: Interior Design Project by Yi-Lun Hsu
Yi-Lun Hsu's Nature Apartment project, completed in October 2019 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, has redefined a 100-square-meter space with a unique blend of rustic textures, greenery, and natural light. The project aimed to remove unnecessary storage and re-separate the entire space into three rooms, focusing on daylight, greenery, and wooden elements.
The main design principles of the project revolved around the use of lumber core plywood as cabinets, creating a rustic texture and different geometrical interests within the interior space. The designer also incorporated jungle-style hexagonal tiles and glass screens to shape the entrance hall and improve traffic flow, respectively.
Yi-Lun Hsu's Nature Apartment was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
