River-Inspired Interior Design Project in Zhubei City, Taiwan

Located in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, this interior design project by Minature Interior Design Ltd. embraces the Touqian River to the south and offers a commanding view of the central mountain range to the east, and the merging of the Touqian River into the sea to the west.

The 248 square meter space is designed to preserve the continuity of the river view, featuring restrained and calm black, white, and gray tones. The corridor serves as the main axis through the center of the house, connecting various living spaces while highlighting the gorgeous scenery outside the window.

Utilizing innovative design techniques, the project seamlessly integrates technology, functionality, and aesthetics. The living room space, for instance, is infused with a strong artistic atmosphere, and the kitchen features smart automatic doors for a barrier-free environment.

Yi-Lun Hsu and Chen-Chia Chang were the key members of the design team, which completed the project in October 2021. The design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding creativity and ingenious approach.
