Balinese-Style Vacation Villa "The Shades of Clouds" by Wei Ting Lin

Wei Ting Lin's "The Shades of Clouds" is a 1500 square meter vacation villa nestled in the picturesque Songyang Mountain, Zhejiang Province, China. Departing from the traditional Chinese design elements commonly found in the region's vacation villas, this project draws inspiration from the motion of flying clouds to create a unique and serene atmosphere.

The villa's design features gentle white tones, original soil walls, and soft furniture from Bali, seamlessly blending with the natural terrains and mountain landscapes. The renovation preserved the original yellow soil walls and doors, enhancing the spirit of simplicity and tranquility. The use of cottons and linens in the soft decorations further elevates the comfort and connection to nature.

Completed in April 2019, the villa offers visitors a peaceful retreat, allowing them to immerse themselves in the breathtaking sceneries while experiencing the Balinese lifestyle. The project received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
