Double Ten Desk: A Contemporary Fusion of Traditional Craftsmanship

Renowned designer Xu Le introduces the Double Ten Desk, a modern desk inspired by the traditional mortise and tenon structure in China. This innovative desk skillfully utilizes the lever principle to enable easy disassembly and installation, significantly reducing transportation costs.

Mainly crafted from bamboo and wood, complemented by metal elements, the Double Ten Desk seamlessly integrates aesthetics and structure. Leveraging mortise and tenon connections, this desk can be effortlessly assembled by hand, eliminating the need for metal connectors. Its flat design not only reduces transportation costs but also makes it ideal for online sales.

The production process involves wood cutting, leather sewing, and metal stamping, utilizing materials such as beech or integrated bamboo, plastic, leather, and metal. With dimensions of 1400mm×70mm×720mm, the desk offers a versatile and functional workspace.

Open the packaging and assemble the desk in just 3-4 steps, making it incredibly convenient to operate. The addition of leather pockets on the legs allows for customizable storage, catering to the needs of modern consumers.

The Double Ten Desk project commenced in September 2020 in Hangzhou and concluded in May 2021. It was meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of contemporary consumers, particularly those seeking flexible, multi-purpose, and space-saving furniture.

Recognizing the innovative design and structural complexity, the Double Ten Desk was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2022. This prestigious accolade celebrates its practicality, innovation, and seamless integration of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
