Xu Le Unveils the Moon Chair: A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

The Moon Chair, a brainchild of designer Xu Le, is a testament to innovation and practicality. Crafted from solid American walnut, this self-assembled seating marvel boasts a unique mortise and tenon joinery, seamlessly integrating aesthetics and structure. Its innovative design allows for effortless disassembly and reassembly, eliminating the need for connectors and reducing transportation costs, making it ideal for online sales.

Measuring 390 x 340 x 680 (mm), the Moon Chair is a perfect blend of simplicity and elegance, catering to the needs of the modern generation with its space-saving, easy-to-use, and stylish features.

Initiated in April 2018 and completed in August 2020 in Hangzhou, China, this project is a response to the evolving lifestyle trends of the younger demographic, characterized by mobility, limited living spaces, and a penchant for online shopping. The Moon Chair is a reflection of extensive research and creative problem-solving, addressing the need for flexible, quality furniture that enhances everyday living.

Embodying the essence of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, the Moon Chair has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, underscoring its exceptional creativity, technical prowess, and contribution to enhancing quality of life.
