Stray Birds-inspired Sales Office by Zao Li

Zao Li's Cofco Shenyang Longyue Xiangyun Sales Office, inspired by Tagore's "Stray Birds," seamlessly blends nature and human emotion into an immersive space. Completed in May 2019, the 1808 square meter office in Shenyang, China, was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in 2021 for its outstanding and trendsetting design.

The design uses light and shadow to create an interactive dialogue, guiding visitors through a journey reminiscent of mountains and forests. The space features Moroccan rice grain gray, elegant white, stainless steel, wood, and wall coverings, enhancing the visual perception and meaning. The Sales Office offers a unique experience, with a negotiation area resembling a knowledge forest and a children's space designed as a valley tree hole.

Zao Li's design team, including Wang Cheng and Li Yongjie, overcame challenges to create a space that promotes culture, respects the spirit of the place, and fosters a symbiotic relationship between culture and nature. The Sales Office is a testament to modern techniques creating a sense of ritual and order while embracing the beauty of nature.
