Nargiza Usmanova's "Crystal" stands out as a remarkable addition to the "Yonge + St. Clair" Fall Art Festival, designed to promote local businesses and celebrate the theme of transformation. This stunning lighting art installation, spanning 7.5 meters in length, 3.5 meters in width, and 3.2 meters in height, embodies the essence of change and evolution through its intricate design.
The "Crystal" art installation is a testament to Usmanova's innovative approach, featuring a volumetric structural arch resembling a crystal, crafted using 115 meters of copper tube pipes, 900 meters of ropes, 1000 zip-ties, and illuminated by 5 meters of LED Neon Flex. The use of triangular shapes and rope knitting adds a distinct touch, symbolizing the process of transformation within the crystal lattice.
Usmanova's creation aims to engage viewers on a sensory level, prompting contemplation about life's journey and the impact of choices. The incorporation of copper tubes and ropes serves as a metaphor for the diversity of life and the influence of external factors on individual decisions. Furthermore, "Crystal" seamlessly integrates with the urban landscape, evolving over time and reflecting its surroundings.

Global Vision at Nuit Blanche is a monumental eye-shaped light installation that embodies the theme of immigration from Europe and Asia to North America. The installation allows people to walk through a colorful labyrinth that sheds light on the challenges of immigration. The structure's colors constantly alter, symbolizing the changes that immigrants face in a new environment. When viewed from above, a giant eye is formed by the intersection of two semicircles which represent the East and West hemispheres on Earth. The project started in August 2022 in Toronto and finished in September 2022, and was exhibited in North York (Toronto) for one night 1-2 October 2022.
