boART: The Revolutionary Cubist Chopping Board

Italian architect and designer Andrea Cingoli introduces boART, a cutting board that redefines the concept of kitchenware. Inspired by the symbiosis of art and necessity, boART is a stunning example of eco-sustainability and creativity. Each cutting board is a unique piece, created through a process that involves the designer and the worker, resulting in an array of different expressions and characteristics.

The cutting board is made from Solid Surface, a durable material usually used for kitchen countertops, and is crafted from leftover pieces, making it an eco-friendly choice. The innovative production process not only ensures top-notch quality but also brings satisfaction to the workers involved.

With invisible joints and easy-to-clean features, boART is not just a cutting board; it's a multi-use combo that can be used as a decorative element, a serving board, or even a surface to consume meals. The perforation used for hanging the board also serves as a perfect dose measure for spaghetti for one person, showcasing the thoughtful and functional design.

Completed in Teramo in February 2015, boART represents a fusion of art, everyday life, and evolving lifestyles. The project has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2019, acknowledging its practicality, innovation, and positive impact on the industry.
