Oleg: Multifunctional Furniture Design by Andrea Cingoli

Italian architect and designer Andrea Cingoli introduces Oleg, a revolutionary multifunctional furniture design that has been honored with the Silver A' Design Award for Furniture Design in 2021. Oleg is a space virus, a wooden cubic or spherical container with many legs, designed to transform and adapt to various living spaces, offering infinite combinations of modules and functions.

The Oleg furniture piece is a testament to innovation and creativity, allowing users to change its function by simply altering its position. With its unique legs, Oleg can be utilized as a bedside table, coffee table, clothes hanger, container furniture, sideboard, and much more, depending on the user's imagination and the randomness of its configuration.

Constructed primarily from wood, Oleg is designed to be produced with medium density or marine plywood, featuring a laminate finish or smooth or glossy lacquer. The legs are turned and lacquered elements with colored rubber ends for enhanced support. The design also incorporates dowels, standard metal parts, and screws tightened from the inside of the container to ensure a seamless external surface.

With dimensions varying between a cube and a sphere, Oleg's external side measures 45cm, while the internal side measures 35cm. The height with legs ranges from 70-85cm, depending on the position, and the width and depth are determined by the configuration or the overlapped top. The Oleg package includes a pre-assembled container compartment, where the legs are placed to be easily assembled at the time of opening.
