Introducing OHO Lentil Chips, a symbol of natural and healthy snacking, with a playful and attractive packaging designed by Motiejus Gaigalas.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OHO Lentil Chips, a healthier snack alternative, has been introduced to the Lithuanian market by a historic local snacks producer. The packaging design reflects the brand's aspiration for more natural and healthy snacking, featuring smooth pastel colors and craft paper texture elements to appeal to a younger audience.
The main idea behind the packaging design is to present the product as a healthier and funky alternative to ordinary snacks. The use of kraft paper background sets it apart from the bright and intense color snack packagings, giving it a natural feel. Illustrated graphic elements add life and connection with the customer, while high-quality photo images communicate the flavoring. This combination makes the product distinguishable and attractive to typical customers of such appetizers, giving it a perceptible feel of naturalness.
Realized using flexography with paper touch varnish, the 190 x 250 x 50 mm snacks bag is printed on polypropylene, showcasing the unique properties of the design. The creative team behind this innovative packaging includes Motiejus Gaigalas as the Creative Director, Vytenis Petrusevicius as the Head of Design, and Sandra Ramoskaite and Vytenis Petrusevicius as the Graphic Designers.
The project commenced in January 2020 and concluded in May 2020, with extensive research conducted to create a packaging design that appeals to the target audience and communicates the product as a healthier snacking option. Overcoming the challenge of standing out in a market dominated by vibrant, intensive color packagings, the team successfully created a design that communicates a healthier choice through playful and subtle taste-indicating illustrations.
