Exceptional Craft Beer Packaging Design

Beer Mail by Volfas Engelman is a visually stunning craft packaging design project that aims to surprise and delight consumers with unexpected flavors and captivating illustrations. Inspired by the concept of mail, the label design resembles postage stamps, each showcasing a unique collage of elements that reflect the distinctive taste of the beer. The goal was to not only attract attention but also create an association with the taste, allowing consumers to discover hidden ingredients within the vivacious illustrations.

The bottle labels were produced using digital printing technology in the brewery, while the cans were printed in a specialized can printing house. The design features 500ml HD printed cans and 330ml glass bottles with labels, adding to the overall visual appeal of the product.

Despite the challenges of blending into the existing craft beer market, the Beer Mail brand products have successfully integrated 330ml bottles and 500ml cans as their primary packaging, offering a smooth and visually appealing presence in the market.

This ongoing project, which began in January 2020, continues to add new varieties every other month, showcasing the dedication to innovation and creativity in craft beer packaging design.

Motiejus Gaigalas, the Creative Director, and Sandra Ramoskaite, the Graphic Designer, have successfully overcome the challenge of combining the "chatty extrovert" design of craft beer with the gentlemanly qualities of the Volfas Engelman brand, resulting in a unique visual identity that stands out in the market.

Beer Mail by Volfas Engelman has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in craft packaging design.
