Mu-Chin Chiang's G and B: Redefining Workplace Design

Mu-Chin Chiang, the creative mind behind Emerald Design, introduces G and B, a groundbreaking multifunctional workplace design situated in the fast-growing redevelopment zone of New Taipei city. The project, completed in December 2020, redefines the traditional office space, blending privacy and intimacy with oriental undertones, and fostering a seamless integration of artistry and pragmatism.

Influenced by the evolving nature of business relationships, G and B reflects a paradigm shift in commerce activities, where formal collaborations have given way to intimate partnerships. The design seamlessly integrates meeting spaces with open-concept lounges, embodying a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Spanning 100 square meters, the design features a carefully curated selection of materials, including marbles, woods, titanium paneling, and glass, meticulously crafted to create a space that fosters creativity, productivity, and social interaction. The layout maximizes space utilization, with glass screens and swivel entrance screens blurring boundaries between different areas, while maintaining a sense of openness and fluidity.

Mu-Chin Chiang's G and B design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements. The project stands as a testament to the enduring commitment of Emerald Design to blend artistry and pragmatic design solutions, creating spatial experiences that resonate with cultural essence and timeless elegance.
