Mu-Chin Chiang's Aesthetic Clinic, Skin Like Baby, Transforms Space into a Modern Oasis
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Emerald Design, led by Mu-Chin Chiang, has unveiled the Skin Like Baby aesthetic clinic, a VIP appointment type space designed for women, inspired by Claude Monet's Les Nympheas series. The clinic, located in Taipei, Taiwan, is a fusion of classical elements and modern aesthetics, featuring brass, Brazilian marble, titanium-plated metal, water-milled stone, floral wall coverings, and velvet fabrics. The space, completed in July 2018, offers a unique ambiance that symbolizes the beauty and tranquility of a secret garden.
The 66-square meter clinic includes a reception area, waiting area, two consulting rooms (one with a bathroom), and two lavatories. The design challenges were overcome with classical painted trims, creating a metaphor for a female figure with an arc and a sleek curve. The space is divided in a gentle way, connecting different areas into a common world while deconstructing different depths of field, reminiscent of the natural barriers formed by plant postures in a garden.
Recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, Skin Like Baby is a testament to Chiang's pursuit of aesthetic functionality and oriental essence with a touch of poetic elegance. The clinic's design not only reflects the brand's story but also provides a serene and elegant environment for women seeking fine medical attention in a luxurious setting.
