FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Radiomural by Aleksandra Toborowicz

Aleksandra Toborowicz's Radiomural project in Nuremberg, Germany, is a captivating homage to the Langwasser district's cultural heritage and community identity. The mural, spanning 25 meters in length and 2.5 meters in height, visually resembles a vintage Grundig radio from the 70s/80s, with letters covered in photoluminescent paint, creating a stunning glowing effect in the dark, reminiscent of a radio turned on.

The mural, located on the facade of a culture center in the heart of Langwasser, serves as a local district identity, highlighting residents' favorite places and their countries of origin. The project, part of the "Betonliebe - StreetArt for Langwasser" initiative, was created in collaboration with the Nowa Huta Cultural Center in Krakow, Poland.

Visible at night thanks to UV lamps, the mural evokes the nostalgic greenish glow of an old radio, inviting interaction as people can illuminate it with flashlights. Toborowicz's meticulous attention to detail and innovative use of photoluminescent spray have brought this unique cultural tribute to life, celebrating the district's rich heritage and sense of community.
