Tomorrow Lab Showcases Futuristic Industrial Design at Centrestage Fashion Event

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council presents Tomorrow Lab, a cutting-edge design concept that transformed the Centrestage fashion event with its futuristic industrial theme, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 5th to 8th, 2018.

Hong Kong Trade Development Council Unveils Tomorrow Lab at Centrestage Fashion Event
The Tomorrow Lab concept, inspired by Centrestage's mission to discover Asia's emerging fashion talents and showcase contemporary brands, featured a futuristic industrial laboratory theme that captivated visitors from the concourse to the exhibition hall. Real moving robotic arms highlighted various fashion brands, creating a unique and immersive experience.
The Tomorrow Lab design was a premium addition to the Centrestage event, housing over 220 contemporary fashion brands within a 7000m2 area. The innovative design uplifted the ambience of the communal spaces, including the outer concourse, central display, and catwalk arena, all set up within a challenging three-day timeframe.
Due to the tight production schedule, the design was prefabricated off-site and quickly assembled on-site, utilizing advanced technology such as LED screens, pre-controlled robotic arms, and audio-visual equipment. The use of biodegradable carpets and recycled materials showcased a commitment to sustainability.
