Revolutionizing Solar Integration with Traditional Roofing

Jarosław Markowicz, a visionary designer from Warsaw, has unveiled Etile, a groundbreaking photovoltaic metal roof system that seamlessly integrates solar technology with traditional roofing. Unlike conventional photovoltaic panels, Etile's modular design offers a precise fit to the roof, ensuring a visually appealing and seamless aesthetic.

Markowicz's innovative approach with Etile offers a comprehensive solution, providing photovoltaic steel tiles along with the necessary PV equipment and installation services. The modular and easy-to-use nature of Etile allows for its application across various building types, making solar energy more accessible and aesthetically pleasing.

The design is based on galvanized steel, with each module featuring five micro photovoltaic panels that efficiently generate energy. Notably, the steel panels can be easily separated, enhancing the product's lifecycle and maintenance efficiency. Etile's dimensions measure 1200mm x 360mm x 30mm, offering a versatile and practical solution for sustainable energy generation.

Markowicz's journey in developing Etile began in September 2016, with extensive research and development efforts focused on optimizing the product's performance and visual appeal. The project culminated in January 2020, marking the successful implementation of this innovative solution.

Recognizing the exceptional innovation and design excellence of Etile, the project was honored with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Building Materials and Construction Components category in 2020. This accolade underscores the remarkable technical and artistic prowess demonstrated by Etile, setting a new standard for sustainable and visually appealing solar integration.
