K11 Musea introduces Flavour Funhouse, an underground shopping mall, inspired by Italian architecture and designed to appeal to global millennials, combining retail with a beguiling mix of craft, heritage, design, and creativity. The space is a balance of homage to the past and a transit towards the future, incorporating modernized features of metal and glass for the shop front while maintaining the unique DNA of the shopping mall.
The design aims to develop K11 Musea as Hong Kong's most sophisticated museum retail space with millennial appeal, constituting an artistic, theatrical spatial experience rather than a conventional shopping environment, where global millennials can come together to discover their muse.
The space features modern luxurious elegance, with a total floor area of 0.8m sqft. The design incorporates hexagonal Cementine tiles embodying the charm of Italian design, demarcating different zones, and the use of sliding doors in black grid for all shops to create a homogeneous and timeless atmosphere. The food court occupies nearly half of the space in B2 level, offering a relaxing and vibrant vibe with specially tailored seating for diversified groups of customers.
