Arc Realm: A Modern Residential Design Project

Yu Ju Lin's Arc Realm is a modern residential design project that embodies a comfortable style of simplicity and restraint. The project, completed in July 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan, won the Iron A' Design Award in 2024.

The project also incorporates eco-friendly elements, such as low-formaldehyde mineral paints and system furniture, to create a healthy living environment while reducing harm to the environment.

The homeowner, who works in videography, can seamlessly transition between work and relaxation, with areas such as the dining room and study designed to meet specific functional needs. The dining table can be transformed into a working table based on requirements, offering a blend of practicality and tasteful design.

Despite facing challenges such as structural aging and water leakage issues, the design team successfully overcame these obstacles to create a modern, open-plan living space. The project's open-plan design, combined with the use of different materials and clever spatial arrangements, resulted in a visually stunning and functional environment.
