Candy Packaging Inspired by Tujia Brocade Art and Year of the Tiger

Jie Yang presents "Sugar of Wagu," a candy packaging design inspired by the colorful Tujia brocade art and the significance of the year of the tiger in China. The packaging, shaped like a tiger, symbolizes power and sweetness, reflecting the essence of a happy life. The candy, a traditional delicacy of the Tujia Nationality in Hubei, is now presented in an eco-friendly, biodegradable package, featuring vibrant colors extracted from local natural plants.

The packaging design aims to increase the popularity of this local specialty beyond its place of origin, allowing more people to appreciate and enjoy it. The use of natural pigments not only enhances the visual appeal but also aligns with the concept of environmental protection, as the colors gradually fade over time, completing an ecological cycle.

Measuring approximately 15cm in length, 8cm in width, and 20cm in height, the packaging embodies the essence of the year of the tiger, making it a unique and meaningful gift. The design process involved extensive research, including field investigations and collaboration with local artists to extract and utilize the vibrant colors of the Tujia brocade, resulting in a visually stunning and environmentally conscious packaging solution.
