Honeycomb: Modular Multifunctional Drone

Guangpeng Yue's Honeycomb UAV, inspired by the hexagonal shape of a bee's honeycomb, is a modular multifunctional drone designed to address the limitations of single-functional UAVs. The drone's unique hexagonal frame allows for infinite expansion to add various functional modules, enhancing its carrying capacity and versatility. The UAV's functional modules include fire protection, propaganda, seeding, UV sterilization, spray, and express, all connected by strong magnetic adsorption. The drone's built-in Bluetooth enables real-time monitoring of its position, while its circuit board, brushless motor, and airborne sensor and calculation technologies ensure efficient operation.

Measuring 815mm long, 815mm wide, and 363mm high, the Honeycomb UAV was developed in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, from June 2020 to January 2021. The design team, led by Guangpeng Yue, overcame creative and technical challenges to achieve the seamless integration of function and structure, as well as the precise control of the weight of functional modules to ensure flight stability.

Recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation, the Honeycomb UAV exemplifies excellence in both technical characteristics and artistic skill. Its Silver A' Design Award in Robotics, Automaton, and Automation Design is a testament to its remarkable level of excellence and positive impact on the industry.
