ForceMAJEURE, in collaboration with Tanaka 1789 Brewery and Francois Chartier, has created a groundbreaking label design for the Tanaka 1789 X Chartier Sake Blend 001, earning the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021. Inspired by the distinctive architecture of the Tanaka Brewery, the label's black on black grid pattern invokes the beautiful brewery walls, embodying the unique characteristics of the Edo periodâs Kura architecture. The design features a series of hexagons, symbolizing Chartierâs aromatic science and expertise.
The label design seamlessly merges the rich cultures of Tanaka 1789 and Francois Chartier, representing a collaboration of two Masters in their respective crafts. The minimalistic black and white color scheme reflects the luxury and elegance of the product, with black bottles traditionally reserved for premium Sakes. The design system and visual strategy developed by ForceMAJEURE represent the juxtaposition of old and new, traditional and modern, achieving a very modern interpretation for the brand.
ForceMAJEURE's attention to detail in the label's realization technology ensured a modern, simple, and sophisticated design.
