Fanny De Bray Unveils Yoonly, a Unique Visual Identity for Young Travelers, Inspired by the Idea of Switching on Life
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fanny De Bray, a renowned creative director, has unveiled Yoonly, a captivating visual identity designed specifically for young travelers. The logo, featuring the letter Y with a pin, evokes the concept of geolocation, frequently used in the travel industry. The color scheme, with duck green representing the sea and blue skies, and orange symbolizing human warmth and sunshine, adds a vibrant touch to the brand's identity. The contemporary typography is inspired by start-ups and modern brands, reflecting the youthful spirit of the target audience.
The unique properties of the design lie in the letter Y with a pin, creating an on/off button that perfectly illustrates the baseline: "switch on life." The two Os in Yoonly represent the infinity sign, emphasizing the idea of memories that will last a lifetime. Additionally, the dynamic and textured logo, with the bottom of each letter flicking to the right, adds a sense of movement and energy to the brand's visual representation.
Realized through various mediums such as business cards, letterhead paper, and envelopes, the design is adaptable for both digital and printed formats. This versatility allows the logo to be seamlessly integrated across a wide range of media, including websites, apps, books, guides, and business cards.
Fanny De Bray's Yoonly project commenced in June 2019 and concluded in May 2020, with the website showcasing the design launched in September 2020. The design process involved extensive research, including an analysis of youth expectations for travel, brand platform development, and the creation of mood boards to capture the emotions associated with the brand.
Yoonly has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2021. This accolade acknowledges the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology to enhance the quality of life for young travelers.
