Smartwatch Watch Face Design: The English Numbers

Pan Yong presents "The English Numbers," a smartwatch watch face designed to offer a unique and easy-to-read experience. The inspiration for this design stemmed from the desire to create a watch face that stands out among traditional ones, providing a cool and distinctive feeling while being easy to read and informative. The design, named "TEN45," presents time in a natural way, combining English and numbers for a futuristic look and feel.

This smartwatch watch face boasts unique properties, offering a layout that allows users to quickly access information on battery, date, and daily steps. It is available in two versions: one for Samsung Gear watches, developed with GalaxyWatchDesigner, and another for the WatchMaker app, supporting all Android smartwatches. The design specifications include a width and height of 400px, catering to various smartwatch models.

The English Numbers design is not only visually appealing but also interactive. Users can change the color theme with a simple tap, enhancing the customization and personalization of their smartwatch experience. The project was realized in Singapore, with the development spanning from May 2017 to July 2018.

With a focus on user-friendly functionality and a futuristic aesthetic, "The English Numbers" smartwatch watch face is a testament to Pan Yong's dedication to combining art and technology. This design has received accolades, including the Bronze A' Design Award in Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design in 2021, recognizing its innovative and creatively ingenious approach.
