A One: Aico Ltd's Visionary Mixed-Use Retail Project

Aico Ltd introduces the Sunac Chongqing A One Commercial project, a revolutionary mixed-use retail development set to become Chongqing's future landmark. The project, located in the heart of Chongqing's financial district, is designed to embrace energy, arts, and prosperity, offering a commanding 270-degree view of the river from its strategic location surrounded by parks. The "City in the Clouds" concept brings together various functions behind a combination of horizontal metal lines and ultra-clear glass, creating a dynamic backdrop of light, shadows, and reflections that change throughout the day.

The project, encompassing 29,126 m2, features 40,850 m2 of retail space, including 6,500 m2 below grade, and 6,100 m2 of hotel amenities, including 3,700 m2 below grade. The design incorporates a large overhang structure on the northern and eastern sides of the podium, creating a unique urban disheartened space with flowing, rich, and exquisite effects through the use of horizontal metal lines and colored glazed glass.

As the new heart of finance in Chongqing, A One is poised to set a new standard for urban development, symbolizing the city's future while overcoming significant creative and technical challenges. The project, which commenced in September 2018, is a collaborative effort between Aico Ltd and leading architecture design firms, aiming to bring 4 skyscrapers and a commercial podium above metro line 6 to the world.
