Aico Ltd introduces the Pingjiang Wonder Bookstore, a delicately-cut crystal in Suzhou, China, completed in 2018, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2021.

Aico Ltd proudly presents the Pingjiang Wonder Bookstore, a pioneering architectural marvel located at 777 Liansheng Rd, Gusu Dist., Suzhou, China. Inspired by the Renaissance diamond faceting method, the exterior features inlaid triangles with tilted apexes, reflecting daily and seasonal sunlight variations.
The building is horizontally divided into two parts, with the upper part faceted and battered at a vertical angle of 4-6 degrees towards the sky, symbolizing the city's pioneer spirit. The lower transparent part seamlessly integrates into the culturally unique streets, creating a harmonious blend with the surroundings.
The high-reflective glass panels, each measuring 5m x 1.8m, were meticulously crafted to compose the external framed curtain wall, presenting a unique and visually stunning facade.
Despite the challenges faced during construction, the unique diamond-like exterior was successfully realized, making the Pingjiang Wonder Bookstore a standout experience center and a symbol of urban revival in Suzhou.
