Grand Copacabana: A Unique Mixed-Use Building in Torres

Torres Arquitetos presents the Grand Copacabana, a groundbreaking mixed-use building project located in the coastal city of Torres, Brazil. Named after the old hotel that once stood on the site, this project aims to seamlessly integrate the building with the city, blurring the lines between private and public spaces.

The Grand Copacabana project was meticulously designed to foster a harmonious relationship between architecture and the city, offering a unique experience for both residents and visitors. The ground floor features a spacious mall avenue, creating a seamless extension of Avenida Benjamim Constant, while the apartments boast expansive balconies that provide stunning views of the city.

Constructed using techniques and materials common to the coastal region of Rio Grande do Sul, the building features a structural system of reinforced concrete, sealing masonry walls, and external tiles. The exterior design showcases a striking contrast between white and black tiles, creating a sense of depth and dimension.

The 11,556.99m² building comprises nineteen floors, with the ground floor housing a vibrant commercial space and the upper floors dedicated to residential units. The top floor offers an array of leisure amenities, including a fitness center, gourmet space, party salon, games room, coworking space, and a panoramic swimming pool.

The Grand Copacabana project has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category, highlighting its exceptional creativity, technical prowess, and innovative approach.
