Resonance Clues: Redefining Family Living

Hung Yu Chen's "Resonance Clues" project is a 550 square meter apartment in Taiwan, completed in January 2022. The design team utilized stacking techniques to create a cool tone space with a metallic texture, while incorporating natural building materials to balance the cold impression. The space features a unique aesthetic achieved through the use of various materials, including gray steel stone, dark titanium plated steel, and dark metal, creating a neutral and cool tone ambiance.

The design project focuses on enhancing family cohesion through the layout and materials. The open plan public area and the layout changes redefine the space, creating a sense of transparency and visual penetration. The three bedrooms are strategically positioned to form a stable triangular structure, allowing family members to interact and create a warm and cozy daily life.

One of the challenges overcome in the project was the integration of materials, particularly in the foyer facade where stone, steel, and wood panels were harmoniously used to solve the problem of vertical and horizontal surfaces. The project was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design.
