H Home by Hung Yu Chen

Yu [ i ] Design Studio has unveiled "H Home," a residential project that redefines the facade and living space in Taipei City, Taiwan. The project, completed in February 2022, is designed by Hung Yu Chen and features innovative elements that enhance the visual, functional, and meaningful aspects of the living space.

The project serves a couple and their three daughters, offering a total area of 165.2 square meters, including three bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. The design team removed the facade between the dining room, kitchen, and living room, creating an open and interconnected public area. Special woven metal mesh sliding doors were installed to distinguish the boundaries between the areas, extending the possibilities of the space.

Utilizing various materials such as steel stone flooring, chamfered hand-scraped wood flooring, and hand-scraped special mineral paint, the project achieves a diverse and textured atmosphere. The facade features stainless steel woven mesh, moru glass, and white marble slabs, while oxidized copper is used for chandeliers, adding a unique aesthetic to the space.
