ARBO design's Design Strategy for Pelonis Air Care Appliances

ARBO design introduces a new visual brand language for Pelonis air care appliances, redefining home comfort in North America. The design strategy aims to align the brand with consumer perceptions and communicate the product family's features effectively. This new brand language offers differentiation and a premium message, adding value without increasing production costs.

The visual brand language created for Pelonis emphasizes affordable innovation in home comfort products and a human-centered design approach. It equips designers with a powerful tool to express the brand's core attributes and values for a collection of environment care appliances.

The new line of heaters, air purifiers, and fans features a sleek and modern design incorporating metallic materials and LEDs, creating a premium look that reflects the product's quality. The design supports the company's commitment to sustainability by using recycled, recyclable, and energy-efficient components.

The project started in November 2022 in Brazil and China and finished in February 2023. The technical developments were made in China with technology suppliers, and the production will occur in China. The design team conducted extensive research, including consumer insights and trend mappings, to bring innovation and differentiation to the project.

ARBO design's team leaders have over 15 years of experience in various design areas, collaborating with global companies such as Midea Appliances, Electrolux AB, and Whirlpool Corp. The team has won several international and national design awards, including the Silver A' Design Award for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design in 2023.
