Biboi Wine Labels by Giovanni Murgia

Giovanni Murgia presents Biboi, a unique wine label design that captures the essence of Sardinia's traditional elements and the vibrant colors of wine. The labels, inspired by 70s graphic styles, feature geometric shapes and textures representing the region's mountains, sea, and vegetation.

Printed on special tactile paper with gold and pink metal sheets, the labels boast a prestigious feel. Additionally, Braille relief on the wine's name and iconographic elements adds a touch of inclusivity and elegance.

Measuring 222x82 mm, the single-piece label almost entirely wraps the bottle, creating a tactile effect when handled. This design aims to appeal to young wine enthusiasts seeking quality and intrigue.

Giovanni Murgia, known for his creative vision and attention to detail, led the art direction, design, 3D rendering, and mockup creation for Biboi. The project, initiated in January 2020 and completed in April 2020 in Sassari, Italy, was unveiled to the media in Sorgono, Sardinia, in April 2020.

The design process involved extensive research into 70s graphic styles and the incorporation of iconic elements representing Sardinia's unique features. Each label features the initial letter of the wine's name, cleverly integrated into the geometric design.

Overcoming the challenge of creating unconventional labels for traditional Sardinian wines, Murgia successfully crafted a design that exudes both light-heartedness and elegance, catering to the expectations of a young and discerning audience.

Giovanni Murgia, a creative visionary from Olmedo, Italy, has been recognized for his outstanding work with the Silver A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. His innovative and carefree approach to the Biboi wine labels has set a new standard in the industry, showcasing exceptional expertise and creativity.
