Giovanni Murgia's Cala di Seta Wine Labels

Giovanni Murgia introduces the Cala di Seta wine labels, a vibrant fusion of Sardinia's coastal heritage and contemporary design. Inspired by the sea, sand, and wind that define this Sardinian territory, the labels encapsulate the essence of the island's history and natural beauty. The design features the iconic Mangiabarche lighthouse, symbolizing the region's maritime legacy.

What sets these labels apart is their youthful, colorful, and easily interpretable appeal, catering to a discerning audience seeking quality products. The minimalist yet refined appearance, accentuated by the lighthouse design, incorporates colored metal foils and a three-dimensional Braille relief, simulating the rhythmic motion of the waves.

The labels are meticulously crafted using pearl paper to emulate the sun's brilliance on the sea, with varying foil shades creating a captivating three-dimensional effect reminiscent of the sea's movement. The design specifications include an 80 x 136mm label size, FASSON Frozen Quartz Pearl paper, and hot foil with three color variations, along with embossed Braille.

Giovanni Murgia's Cala di Seta wine labels aim to evoke a sense of freshness, dynamism, and joy, captivating a young, quality-seeking audience. The project, which commenced in February 2021 in Sassari and concluded in April 2021, draws inspiration from the region's history, dialect, and natural elements, infusing them into the design to create a contemporary yet authentic representation of the winery's legacy.

Recognized for its outstanding creativity and artistry, the Cala di Seta wine labels received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2022.
