Plus+ Modular Screwdriver Design

Wenkai Xue introduces Plus+, a groundbreaking modular screwdriver design that revolutionizes traditional screwdriver functionality. With a focus on adaptability and space efficiency, Plus+ offers a unique solution to the common problem of tool storage and accessibility.

The Plus+ screwdriver features sections equipped with various tool bits, allowing for customizable combinations to meet diverse requirements. Its innovative plus and minus combinations can adjust the total length, enabling seamless adaptation to various spaces and effortless portability. The tool holder ensures easy insertion and removal, while its ergonomic grip provides exceptional user experience. Additionally, the distinctive symbol on each tool bit enhances intuitive selection for users.

Utilizing rubber injection molding technology, the Plus+ screwdriver embodies a perfect balance of form and function. Its compact dimensions of 30mm in width, 30mm in depth, and 60mm in height make it an ideal tool for any task.

Designed to address the challenges of traditional screwdrivers, Plus+ offers a sustainable and recognizable solution. Its modularization and redesign approach promote efficient tool storage and usage, reducing resource waste and enhancing brand loyalty among users.

The Plus+ project commenced in December 2015 at the LAFA Communal Facility Design Studio and concluded in August 2017 at the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA. The design team, led by Wenkai Xue and Sun Jian, overcame creative and technical challenges to bring this innovative screwdriver design to life.

Wenkai Xue, the director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA, is a distinguished member of the China Artists Association and a renowned professor at the School of Industrial Design in LuXun Academy of Fine Arts. With an impressive portfolio of award-winning designs, Xue continues to drive industrial design innovation and excellence.
